With its clean lines and dramatic vaulted ceiling, the restaurant, bar and lounge area of Double Black is specifically designed to offer an atmosphere of relaxation whilst giving our guests a wide range of entertainment options.
Our restaurant offers complimentary hot & cold breakfast, including a hard to find commodity in the valley, a cup of quality coffee from our very own espresso machine (serving only the best illy coffee, 100% premium Arabica espresso coffee).
For dinner, we offer an Italian inspired menu with local influences, designed by our Executive Chef, Federico Zanellato and his Head Chef, Go Amano. We are delighted to announce that Federico was recently named Citi Chef of the Year at the Sydney Morning Herald 2017 Good Food guide awards. See here to read more.
Federico and Go visited Hakuba in early October and met with food suppliers and providores and have developed some delectable menu options.
If you are not staying at the hotel but would like to have a meal in our excellent restaurant we recommend you call ahead and book so as not to be disappointed.

Our fully licensed bar is proud to present an extensive range of quality beers, spirits and wines from around the world. Our friendly staff would also be happy to show you our cocktail list, including the house specialty, the 'Double Black'. For those with an adventurous palette, we also stock a range of authentic Japanese drinks, including Sake, Plum Wine and a large selection of local beers.
Time to relax, International TV is freely available in our warm and inviting lounge area, enabling guests to keep up on current world affairs as well as those major sporting events.
