Japan is renowned for its large snowfalls that bring with it fantastic deep powder conditions. Hakuba is no exception to other Japanese resorts, receiving 11 metres of annual snowfall.

Kicking off in early December, the season runs through to early May, with the best snow months being January to March. There are eleven ski areas to explore within the Hakuba area, with Happo One, Goryu, Hakuba 47, Iwatake, Tsugaike and Cortina offering the more diverse and challenging runs.

Located near the mountain resort of Happo One, host of the 1998 Olympics Men's Down Hill and Super G events, Double Black Hotel is perfectly placed to take in the best of what Hakuba has to offer.
